Governance & Compliance

Governance Framework

The Foundation operates under a structured governance framework that ensures ethical leadership, accountability, transparency, and compliance. Governance is clearly separated from operational management.

Governing Board

The Foundation is overseen by a Governing Board responsible for strategic direction, fiduciary oversight, policy approval, safeguarding, and compliance. Board members serve voluntarily and act collectively in the best interest of the Foundation.

Board Roles and Responsibilities

The Board is responsible for approving strategy and policies, overseeing finances, ensuring legal compliance, safeguarding standards, and appointing and supporting the Chief Executive Officer.

Chief Executive Officer

The Chief Executive Officer is the principal executive leader of the Foundation. The CEO is a clinician based in London and also serves as the Development Chief of Mepe in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region of Ghana. This dual role strengthens cultural legitimacy, professional governance, and international best practice.
